Danish Scholarship Scheme for highly qualified non-EU students
Denmark warmly welcomes highly qualified and motivated students from all over the world. A number of scholarships are therefore offered each year by the Danish Ministry of Education to fund students from countries outside the European Union/ European Economic Area. Scholarships for students from outside the EU/EEA for studies at Academies of Professional Higher Education and University Colleges are administered by the individual institutions.
Dania - Danish Academy of Business and Technology - will administer the scholarship according to a set of guidelines (pdf). Applicants must use the scholarship application form (word). The deadline for application is 1 May.
Questions regarding the scholarship must be addressed to Mr. Flemming Andersen fka@eadania.dk, Randers, or Mr. Mikael Løngaard Nielsen mlni@eadania.dk, Viborg.
The Danish State Education Grant and Loan Scheme
Danish students over the age of 18 are entitled to economic support from the Danish State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme (in Danish: SU). As a rule, foreign students studying in Denmark are not eligible for support from the State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme. Exceptions are made on the basis of specific conditions for refugees and relatives of refugees and for other foreign citizens provided – among other stipulations – that they have been living and working in Denmark long enough. If you belong to the Danish minority in Germany or have attended a Danish school in Germany you might also be eligible for SU.
More information can be found on the website of The Danish state education grant and loan scheme and here.
Exchange and mobility grants
Dania - Danish Academy of Business and Technology - has a number of Erasmus partner universities throughout Europe. Students from our Erasmus partner universities wishing to do a study stay at DBAM may apply for an Erasmus exchange and mobility grant at the institution in their home country. Erasmus grants are also available to students at the Academy wishing to do a study stay or internship abroad.
